Ikarus, yes, remove the “fake-hover”-span. You can always use the working demo as a reference

Hi,
can somebody help me please?
At the following part of this tutorial it is said, i have to remove the “fake span” from my document. From the HTML Document? Is the “fake span” the “fake-hover”-span??
I really don`t know waht I have to do to make it work.

Is there any way to combine this effect with an image map? I am using this effect on a header, but the header also has text on it that I wanted to turn into links, aka image maps; but it doesn’t seem to work. Am I doing sonething wrong, or is this just not possible? Thanks in advance!

Very good tutorial. I’ve used this on a site recently and the customer though I used Flash.

It’s an especially good effect because it degrades very gracefully too – those without JavaScript just see the initial image.
